Dr. Massie has been my family's dentist for a few years now. The kiddos love him as he is gentle and friendly with them. He focuses on the patient before him, not the next one on the appointment book. I love that he is honest with me. If my tooth can left alone for now, he simply says "let me know when it bothers you more than you'd like." When I needed an emergency root canal, he had me come in one evening after he returned from a family camping trip! He is an amazing dentist and family man!
Dr. Massie has been my dentist for several years. I drive 45 minutes to his office because he is that good! He put a crown on my tooth today and saved me from having a root canal! He took the time to numb my gum with a swab so I didn't even feel the needle. He even took the time to wait for the anesthetic to take affect before starting to work on my tooth. It's nice to find a dentist that's not in a big hurry. Dr. Massie is down to earth and is good with kids. He has a few of his own.
I would like start off by saying my experience was one of a five star review based on the staff kindness, down to earth atmosphere, cleanliness and the amount of care that was given to each patient including my 3 year old son and I. My son was actually excited to go to the dentist at A-Z.
Unfortunately, the very rude and disturbing phone call I received around 6:30pm one evening, three weeks before my next regular cleaning appointment(which is 100% covered by insurance) "Mr. H you and your son are not welcome back to A-Z because you haven't paid the remaining part of your bill". During the phone call I was also laughed at for not being capable of paying the bill all at once. While I do understand business, and that a business runs on bills being paid. I had a significant balance over a year and a half of A-Z fixing problems I had with my teeth. Although every visit I made a significant payment and along with the good insurance I have, payments looked great on paper. I thought there must of been a mistake and that I would take care of it. So I stopped by A-Z in person the very next day and ask for statements to be printed. I added the balance I have paid vs. what was billed and it comes out to only 2% of the bill remaining. I let the staff politely know what I had figured and they said yes and we know that. I did not hesitate by giving the staff the remaining 2% and walking out after letting them politely know that I would not be returning to A-Z. I am still very shocked to have experienced this from a business I once seen as 5 star.
The staff is so friendly. They are welcoming and I feel at ease. Dr. Massie is intelligent and kind and will walk you through step by step what he is doing inside of your mouth. He will inform you and answer any question you're curious about. I feel extremely comfortable and secure at A to Z Dentistry. I'm glad I convince my father to choose this dentist after we got new health insurance. We had no idea what we were getting into, but I am satisfied and happy.
Dr. Massie is a great DENTIST -- not just for people who are VERY fearful of getting dental work done like myself, but also because he is a grade A professional at his craft. I Went into his office and was greeted by a very friendly staff and felt comfortable through the entire process. This is by far the best dental office I've been to! Dr. Massie is very gentle and professional! The whole staff is super friendly and make you feel comfortable during your whole visit! Very clean office and nicely organized. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends (:
